Who publishes GrandClinicReviews?
Grand Clinic publishes and operates it. We are not an independent review organisation, and we say so on every page. What we can offer instead is provenance: each review carries a label showing where it came from and whether we have verified it.
What does 'verified' mean on a review?
That we have matched the submission to a treatment record and hold the patient's written consent to publish it. Reviews we have not been able to match stay on the site, unverified and labelled as such, rather than being removed.
Are reviews edited before they appear?
Every submission is read before publication, and nothing goes live automatically. We correct spelling and remove details that would identify a third party or disclose private medical information. We do not change a patient's assessment, and we do not decline a review for being critical.
Can I ask for my story to be taken down?
Yes, at any time and without giving a reason. Write to the clinic or use the contact on this site and we will unpublish it. Consent to publish is not permanent and you are not asked to waive anything.
Why are there no ratings averaged across the site?
An aggregate score is only meaningful if it is computed over a complete, representative set of reviews. Ours is a published selection, so presenting an average would imply a precision we cannot support. Individual ratings are shown on individual reviews.
Does a patient story predict my own result?
No. The stories here describe what specific people experienced, with their own anatomy, history and circumstances. They are evidence that an experience happened, not a forecast of yours. Any procedure carries risk, and only a clinician who has examined you can discuss what applies in your case.
